AHOY SHIPMATES
Hi, Stan Here, I'm 41, married have 5 kids, a nice house and an 88ft long titanic in my back garden. Why? Because I'm hoping to open a maritime museum in around six years time with Titanic being one of the exhibits. Six years because I want to open for the 100th anniversary of the maiden voyage of the great ship and it's going to take that long to finish it. I've bought my cousins creel fishing boat for an exhibit and I'm starting to build a lighthouse. I've also made a full size replica of the Nautile (a French submarine). Also, in the basement I have a maritime art gallery and a 30 seat cinema showing titanic films.
I would like to add other attractions e.g. Pirate Ship, Fishing trawler, Noah's Ark, life boat, etc. Also a gift shop, a seafood restaurant, picnic area, a Parisian café, a hands-on area and a kids park with a nautical theme.
If anybody could help me finish this museum before 2012, I would appreciate it. Also I am looking for more nautical exhibits, boats, small ships, models etc. If the highland council could sell me the land next door for extra exhibit space and if British Waterways could provide a car & bus park for the museum that would be fantastic.
Also I would like to have a 3D cinema showing James Cameron's " Ghost of the Abyss". Donations to help me buy the land and install the 3D cinema would be great.
